Attorneys’ fees and a new way of doing business
For better or worse, a clients retention of a law firm is often based upon need rather than desire. As a result, the subject of attorney’s fees is often an unpleasant one for the client. At Jacobs / Offir, P.L. we have tired to stay on the cutting edge of the changes in the way clients prefer to pay legal fees. We not only welcome we encourage our clients to suggest alternative fee billing arrangements that best suit our clients. We take cases on a traditional hourly basis, on a contingency basis, on a flat monthly fee basis (costs paid separately) or on any other variety that makes sense for our clients and the firm. Not just advocacy but a philosophy of risk avoidance
At Jacobs / Offir, P.L., we believe that our clients are best served when the potential exposure is avoided or minimized. We prefer to be involved by our clients eerily in the process and often are happy to review agreements, plans and other “in process” items to provide valuable counsel as to where risks may exist. We further believe that it is part of our function to provide our clients with current developments in the law that may impact their industry and to provide educational seminars to our clients and their employees to minimize the risk of needless litigation.
