Eric A. Jacobs, J.D., M.B.A.
Eric A. Jacobs is the founding partner of Jacobs / Offir, P.L. and has extensive and diverse legal and business experience. As a board certified real estate legal expert, Mr. Jacobs provides extensive guidance on all matters related to real estate and real estate law in Florida with particular emphasis in South Florida and Hollywood, Florida where he has both written numerous articles and been interviewed fornumerous real estate related articles.
Not only is Mr.Jacobs a proud member of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation as aYoung Founder, he sits on the Board of Directors for the group. Mr. Jacobs has been named a Rising Star of Florida Super Lawyers for 2009, and recenly named Entrepeneur of the Year for the City of Hollywood, Florida and the State of Florida.Mr. Jacobs sits on the City of Hollywood Devlopment Review Board and is a former member of the City of Hollywood Community Development Advisory Board and City of Hollywood Education Advisory Committee. Mr. Jacobs also sits on the Board of Trustees for the David Posnack Hebrew Day School. He takes great pride in his extensive public service in the community.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Florida International University and earned his joint Juris Doctor / Master's Degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
Mr. Jacobs recently authored a chapter in the Florida Bar's Real Estate Litigation Manual and has lectured toother lawyers on subjects affecting real estate litigation. In 2008, Eric Jacobs played a seminal role in a landlord tenantmatter that reached the Supreme Courtof Florida where the Court ultimately ruled in the firm's favor.
Mr. Jacobs philosophy focuses on service to the client and the client's perception of value and qualityin legal representation as the ultimate arbiter of a lawyer's success. He believes that hourly billing is undesirable and should be avoided where possible in favor of more mutually beneficial fee arangements.
